I have a nice Oak-finish Altec 620 enclosure available with its (detachable)
grille assembly.
This is the factory original from which a 604-8G was removed.

I am interested if the cost and freight (if shipping is possible) to CA is reasonable.

Hi Mirrophonic and Jim Easley,
I just saw this post and, though I am second in line, also want to express interest in the 620 cab. I've actually held off buying a pair in the hopes of getting only one.
Don't mean at all to "horn" in as it were...dibs go to Jim E.
Regards,
Jim Butler

I believe these came in oak which is lighter and walnut (darker).
So this one is oak and I was thinking someone might be looking for one
to make a matched pair - or trying to assemble a pair one at a time.
It will take the 16" 604-8G or later as I think the 8G was the first front-mount 604.
There was a little filing I did on the crossover hole to take a 902 on a
Ramsa horn at one time but this is not seen when the crossover is mounted.
(see photo in avatar)
There is also a solder fleck on the grille cloth that should scratch off.
These things may decrease your interest if you are a perfectionist.
I was thinking about 150 bucks and was hoping someone would pick up
or arrange shipping as it would be a pain to wrap & ship.
I also have two walnut enclosures which look good from front ( good grilles too)
but cabinets have bad corner wear at rear & scratches.
These would be $100 pair - your problem to move.
Also there is a pair of resplendent 1962 Magnificients for $3,000
Maybe there's something for everybody

I will have to back out on this one. The price is quite reasonable. The shipping cost to California pushed it past my budget.

You might check baxglobal for shipping costs . I find them to be the most reasonable for larger shipments(especially for overseas shipments). You have to have a business to ship from and they charge an extra $25 as well for delivery to a residence.

Thank you everyone for your interest & input --
So far Jim is proceeding to purchase once we iron out the shipping logistics.

I would be extremely wary of using Bax Global. When I drove to their Los Angeles facility to pick up a package shipped to me from Germany, they forced me to pay a $55. "paperwork handling fee" before receiving my package, even though all shipping fees had been paid by the sender. This gained them the honor of being placed on my lifetime **** list.
